Nathan Philip Mathers

Music has been an integral part of Nathan’s life and he started playing guitar at the age of 12 after taking piano lessons
from the age of 8 to earn Grade 5 in theory and practice.

Whilst at college for a YTS in sound production, Nathan joined various cover bands playing guitar and bass and soon
developed a passion for performing live.

In 1998 he was asked by fellow Queen fans to form a tribute to Brian May which he did with a band called MayBe and after
a few line-up changes this developed into Queen Rocks. They enjoyed playing shows for Queen fan club events around the
UK and some in Holland including a performance with guest vocalist Jeff Scott Soto.

In April 2007, Nathan was asked by the Birmingham Icknield Male Voice Choir to play the guitar t Bohemian Rhapsody in its
entirety which led to a performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall with a 150 piece choir.

Having been a huge Queen and Brian May fan since hearing Greatest Hits 1, aged 9, Nathan took the opportunity to emulate
his hero by joining Flash in 2007.
